Since its formation in 1945, the UAB Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has been dedicated to improving the lives of the women that we serve through excellence in education, research, and clinical care. UAB Obstetrics and Gynecology has a rich history of clinical and translational research. As one of the few nationally ranked programs in the southeast, our patients enjoy access to cutting edge clinical trials and the latest advances in female reproductive healthcare. The department houses the Center for Women’s Reproductive Health, which facilitates women’s health research across the department, institution, and around the globe.
