To develop the OBGYN resident's knowledge and skills in the field of endoscopic surgery.
Objectives
- Know the basic instrumentation necessary to assemble and operate a hysteroscope
- Identify the concepts and concerns surrounding visualization of the uterine cavity, including uterine cavity access and choice of distention media.
- Know how to use various energy modalities in operative hysteroscopy.
- Describe the common devices used in modern hysteroscopy, including global ablation devices and hysteroscopic sterilization.
