- On-line Overview of the Da Vinci ® Surgical System: This module will review the system and its components as well as pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative considerations when using the Da Vinci Surgical System. The overview is divided into chapters and can be completed over multiple sessions.
- Comprehensive Examination: You are required to complete the examination at the conclusion of the on-line overview. There is no way to save the data, so you must print your results page at the conclusion of the exam.
Instructions

Log-on to DaVinci Surgery Community Website using your username and password

Select “Groups” from the menu

Select ”Residents”

Follow link to send a message to the group moderator so your account can access the training materials

Once you receive your reply, open the “Residency Training Program” folder

Open the folder corresponding to the “Standard” or “S” system. (You will be required the module for both systems)

Once in the appropriate folder, select the “On-Line System Overview” link followed by the “Launch Module” link. This will open the system overview which will take approximately 90 minutes to complete. It is divided into chapters which can be completed at your own pace over multiple sittings. There are quiz questions interspersed throughout the module to test your retention. These questions are not scored. (The file is large, so it may take a few minutes to load. Clicking the “Download” link under the blue tab to the right, saving the link to the Desktop, and accessing the file via the downloaded link may speed up loading times.)

When you have completed the overview return to the “Residency Training Program” folder

Select the “Launch Exam” link under the “On-Line System Overview” menu

Complete the exam and print your results page

Submit your exam results to the residency director

Return to the “On-Line System Overview” folder and click on the “Evaluation—Module One” link.

Complete the evaluation and submit to the Residency Education Coordinator.
