Honoring Dr. Glenn Peters for over four decades of excellent care and leadership at UAB
Having been a vital part of the Department of Otolaryngology since 1984, Dr. Glenn Peters has committed more than 40 years of his professional life at UAB. Dr. Peters is set to conclude his career at the end of September 2023, retiring from his roles as the Julius N. Hicks Endowed Professor, Vice Chair of Patient Safety and Quality within the Department of Otolaryngology, and serving as the Associate Chief Quality Medical Officer for the UAB Health System.
The establishment of Endowed Professorships plays a pivotal role in both attracting and retaining top-tier faculty members. Professors who are highly skilled and compassionate have the capacity to impact numerous individuals through their academic contributions, the guidance they provide to trainees, and the positive transformations they bring to the lives of patients through their clinical knowledge. Through generous philanthropic contributions, we have the opportunity to pay tribute to Dr. Peters' enduring legacy while simultaneously making an investment in the department's future.
