Applicants are evaluated based upon the established guidelines and in agreement with the principles outlined in the project’s goals and objectives.  We will recruit and select two nutrition trainees.

Specific criteria include:

1) Registered Dietitian (RD) or RD eligible, 

2) Master’s candidate in the Master of Clinical Nutrition (Nutrition Sciences) OR MPH in the School of Public Health.

3) Commitment to 20 hours/week encompassing the following opportunities (not an exhaustive list)

1)Didactic Opportunities: 

• Educational Seminars (9AM-11AM and 11AM-12PM on Wednesdays);

•Journal Club Case (12PM-1PM, 2nd  Wednesday of the Month)

•Case Conference (12PM-1PM, 4th Wednesday of the Month)

2)Clinical Opportunities:  

•Trainees actively participate in clinical care at the LEAH clinic (2nd and 4th Thursdays from 8AM to 12PM)

•Trainees actively participate in clinical care at the Nutrition clinic (Thursdays from 8AM to 12PM)

•Trainees actively participate in clinical care at the Eating Disorders clinic (Tuesdays from 1PM to 7PM)

•Active participation in supervision with onsite discipline specific supervisors is expected and opportunities for interdisciplinary supervision is available. 

3)Research Opportunities

•Trainess are required to work on an independent research project with faculty mentorship during the course of their appointment. The purpose of the experience is to create work of high professional quality (e.g. manuscript for publication, or project considered for grant funding)

4)Community Outreach




Nutrition faculty will work closely with trainees to ensure they are receiving the guidance and mentorship needed to complete the program.
