Clinical Interests
Dr. Bhatia clinical interests include neonatal cardiac hemodynamics, targeted neonatal echocardiography, point-of-care ultrasound, pulmonary hypertension, and the cardiopulmonary management of extremely premature and critically ill infants.
Research Interests
Dr. Bhatia research focuses on integrating echocardiography, electrical impedance tomography, continuous physiologic monitoring and biomarkers to develop precision-based models of neonatal care. He is also involved in hybrid clinical and translational research examining bronchopulmonary dysplasia and pulmonary hypertension, with an emphasis on pulmonary vascular remodeling, mitochondrial dysfunction, inflammation, oxidative stress, and potential therapeutic interventions.
