Smita Bhatia, M.D., MPH, professor in the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology, was named vice-chair of the Heersink School of Medicine Faculty Council.

Dr. Bhatia will assume the role effective Dec. 1, 2022 and serve until June 15, 2023.
