The Department of Pediatrics is delighted to announce that Jeffrey Lebensburger, D.O., has agreed to assume the role of director of the Office of Faculty Development, effective Jan., 1, 2023. 

Dr. Lebensburger has been on faculty here since 2009 and is a professor in the Division of Hematology, Oncology and Bone Marrow Transplantation. He has extensive experience mentoring faculty, fellows, residents and students. As demonstrated by his CV and the interview process, this is his passion. On the national level, he has been a faculty mentor and eventually served as chair for the American Society of Hematology (ASH) Clinical Research Training Institute, an international program for faculty career development and mentorship. 

Dr. Lebensburger was selected from among a group of highly qualified applicants who were vetted by a committee led by Dr. Smita Bhatia. I thank Dr. Bhatia and her committee, including Drs. Nassetta, Davis, Rutledge and Tofil and April Spencer.
