Channing Brown, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Academic General Pediatrics and Sarah Novara, M.D., assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Neurology, were selected for the UAB Healthcare Educators Academy.

The UAB Healthcare Educator Academy was created to support and enhance health professions education by providing resources and mentorship to promote teaching excellence, foster innovation and educational scholarship, and promote the careers and wellbeing of health professions faculty educators.

Dr. Brown serves as the assistant program director for the UAB Combined Medicine-Pediatric Residency Program. Dr. Novara serves as the program director for the UAB Child Neurology Residency Program.
