Radiology Research Administration team provides comprehensive infrastructure to support imaging research across the full project lifecycle.
This includes assistance with study development; pre- and post-award administration in collaboration with the UAB Office of Sponsored Programs; budget development and financial oversight; image transfer coordination; protocol review; tumor metrics; and assurance of institutional and regulatory compliance in accordance with University of Alabama at Birmingham policies. The office oversees the preparation and submission of all grant and contract applications, facilitates staffing and operational coordination for the majority of departmental clinical research studies, shared resources, and ensures adherence to applicable regulatory and sponsor requirements.
Administrative personnel are integral to the effective operation of the Human Imaging Shared Resource (HUMI) and maintain active collaboration with affiliated imaging shared resources and laboratories within the department. In addition, a dedicated clinical statistician provides methodological and analytical expertise to support imaging and related translational research initiatives.
