Vascular Surgery Fellow
Medical School: UCLA
Residency: Ohio State University
Why UAB: I was drawn to UAB for fellowship training for the incredible case volume and diversity, including both “bread and butter” vascular surgery as well as complex open and endovascular work, particularly in the area of aortic reconstruction.
We have faculty at all different stages of their careers and with different clinical interests, and thus as trainees we have the opportunity to learn to approach vascular disease in a variety of ways, both in and out of the operating room. My goals in fellowship are to hone the clinical acumen I developed during residency and refine my surgical skills and know-how to become an excellent vascular surgeon after these two additional years of training. There is no place better to achieve these goals than at UAB.
