Vascular Surgery Integrated Resident

Medical School: University of Rochester School of Medicine

Why UAB:I chose UAB for two main reasons. First, because the training at UAB will prepare you to be any kind of vascular surgeon you want to be. We do an incredible volume of open aortic surgery, as well as complex endovascular procedures. We are very clinically busy and treat patients from all over the Southeast, and are supported in terms of research and academic initiatives at the same time.

Second, I really enjoyed my interactions with the faculty and residents through the virtual Sub-I and interviews. I felt that at UAB, the faculty, fellows, and residents support one another, and that I would fit in well. Two vascular rotations in so far, and I can attest that this is true.
