Laura V. Bownes, M.D.UAB general surgery research resident Laura Bownes, M.D. was recently awarded a Postdoctoral Travel Award by the Office of Postdoctoral Education.

This $500 award will go towards Bownes' attendance at the Academic Surgical Congress in Orlando, Florida on Feb. 4-6, 2020, where she will give her presentation in the Pediatrics Basic Science Session on the role of Serine-Threonine Kinase Receptor Associate Protein in promoting neuroblastoma on Tuesday, Feb. 4.
