C. Killian received the 2022 Women’s Health Community of Practice (WHCOP) award, J. Killian received the 2022 Community of Transplant Scientists (COTS) award, and Carter received the 2022 Living Donor Community of Practice award.

This travel grant will fund their attendance to the 2022 ATC annual meeting from June 4-8 in Boston, Massachusetts. They will also be recognized for their incredible accomplishments at the respective community of practice annual meetings set to be held during the conference.

The American Transplant Congress is the Joint Annual Meeting of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons (ASTS) and the American Society of Transplantation (AST). ATC provides a forum for exchange of new scientific and clinical information relevant to solid organ and tissue transplantation.

Their applications ranked among the best that were submitted. All are ecstatic about attending the meeting.

“It’s truly an honor to receive the WHCOP travel award to attend ATC.” C. Killian said. “I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to present our work, for Dr. Locke’s mentorship and support from the whole UAB TEAM that made this possible.”
