Biography
The development and implementation of imaging for the diagnosis, staging, and treatment of urologic cancers is an area of great interest and expertise that Dr. Rais-Bahrami brings to UAB. He is a founding member of the Program for Personalized Prostate Cancer Care, working closely with other faculty from the UAB Departments of Urology, Radiology, Oncology, Radiation Oncology, and Pathology. He brings experience in advanced prostate imaging, image-guided biopsy targeting techniques, and focal therapy.
Dr. Rais-Bahrami also has a strong interest in developing, improving, and employing robotic and minimally-invasive techniques for the treatment of urologic malignancies. He specializes in the management of all urologic malignancies and will see patients with prostate, kidney, adrenal, testis, bladder, ureteral, and penile cancer.
He is one of two urologists at UAB leading the Program for Personalized Prostate Cancer Care.
