On the first day of camp, students are divided into teams and given details of their first case. Each team will secure a scene, survey it, diagram it, take notes and collect evidence. After the students process the evidence, staff will reveal the true facts of the case by reconstructing what actually happened.
Each day begins with staff (graduate students and digital forensics/criminal justice faculty) presentation to the teams of background on the case for the day; each team is assigned a case and will be taught how to research needed evidence. Staff will assess students’ core knowledge of the subject matter for the day (phishing, hacking, malware, etc.) by asking the group questions and engaging them in dialogue about the topic.
ChemBridge will promote students’ interest and knowledge of chemistry by introducing them to principles, methods, applications and experiments used in chemistry research laboratories.
