The research focus of Banerjee-Chow-Broker lab is the pathobiology of the Human Papillomaviruses (HPV), ranging from productive infection, dysplasias, to malignancies. The lab uses 2D cell culture, 3D stratified epithelial raft cultures, organoid cultures, and xenografts and PDX mouse models. The lab employs a variety of analytical cell biology, protein biochemistry, and fluorescence microscopy techniques. The long-term goal of our research is to identify therapeutic targets and evaluate efficacy and mechanism of action of potential drug candidates for treatment of the range of anogenital lesions and Head and Neck cancers.
The lab is seeking a post-doc with 0 to 2 years of research experience. The candidate should be proficient in mammalian cell culture, protein biochemistry, nucleic acids preparation, PCR (RT-PCR and real time PCR), microscopy and in vivo mouse experiments. Candidates with experience in chromatin or RNA immunoprecipitation, and bioinformatics are highly desirable. The candidate should be innovative and willing to embrace new technologies and publish research findings quickly.
The candidate must be able to learn quickly and work independently with minimal supervision. The candidate should be familiar with standard analytical softwares (Office, Excel, PRISM, Adobe-Photoshop and Adobe-Illustrator etc.). People's skills and willingness to work in a team are prerequisites for this position. The minimum salary starts at $56,500 plus benefits and increases based on experience and merits.
