Structural Biology Core Facility

Directory Category: Institutional Core

The Center for Structural Biology includes a multidisciplinary group of researchers all focused on the structure/function relationships for biomolecules involved in fundamental processes, the elucidation of mechanisms behind infectious and chronic diseases and the pursuit of structural information to support the development of novel pharmaceuticals.

The CSB is responsible for the support of UAB's Structural Biology Core Facilities (i.e. Protein crystallization, X-ray crystallography, NMR, Cryo-EM, Calorimetry and Surface Plasmon Resonance) and provides access to these premier facilities to UAB investigators.
