Senior Business Process Manager | Academic Research Organization for Clinical Trials
During her 15 years of clinical research experience, Emily has worked directly with research participants as well as research data systems. She began work at UAB coordinating psychiatric clinical drug trials in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurobiology. She transitioned to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she worked as a Project Manager but returned to UAB to join the OnCore team in 2017. In her various roles, Emily has coordinated industry-sponsored clinical trials and investigator-initiated protocols, conducted clinical assessments, provided regulatory management, contributed to several publications, and managed the user interface for a research data warehouse of electronic health record data. In her current role as Business Process Manager, she analyzes processes and workflows to identify areas for growth and optimization, implements process improvement initiatives, and provides support to the OnCore user base. Emily received a B.A degree in Psychology and a M.Ed. degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Louisville.
