Introduction to IRB e-Portfolio

The Office of the Institutional Review Board (OIRB), in collaboration with the UAB Research Technology & Communication (RTC) office, is excited to launch the new IRB e-Portfolio on August 28, 2020. This electronic submission form will replace the current Human Subjects Protocol (HSP) and twelve other submission documents. This user-friendly application process has been streamlined to utilize branching logic with specific questions to better ascertain the regulatory information necessary to make IRB determinations. For additional information, please contact Christina Blackmon (This email address is being protected from spambots. The UAB Office of the Institutional Review Board (OIRB) presents the UAB research community with a recorded training session for the new IRB e-Portfolio, an electronic submission form for the submission of human subjects research.

The Office of the Institutional Review Board (OIRB) invites the research community to use a developmental instance of IRB ePortfolio in preparation for the launch of the new IRB e-Portfolio on August 28, 2020. Investigators and research staff will be able to build sample protocols and become familiar with the ePortfolio and its features.
