The ePortfolio is here and we are transitioning to electronic forms (eForms). The last days to use certain documents are quickly approaching, so we wanted to make sure that you are aware.
On September 30, 2020, thirteen previously used IRB forms and applications will be retired. To view a listing of these documents, please visit and scroll to the bottom of the “Forms” webpage on the UAB IRB website. Submissions after this day should be made using the ePortfolio.
The Investigator’s Progress Report (IPR) and the Project Revision/Amendment Form (PRAF) will be retired after November 30, 2020. Submissions after this day should be made using the Amendment eForm.
Please do not submit the IRB ePortfolio for existing studies. Previously existing studies should use one of the available eForms to submit an Amendment or Continuing Review. How-To Guides are available for preexisting studies on the ePortfolio Training Website.
Other Things to Know:
- IRB Approval letters will no longer include copies of the consent documentation. Stamped and approved consent documents are available in IRAP within the submission record.
- The LMS Pre-Launch Training for the ePortfolio is NOT an IRB training requirement. If you attended the training, logging in with UAB credentials or displaying your first and last name, the course participation was marked as completed.
- If you have comments and feedback regarding the ePortfolio or one of the eForms, please submit them using the IRB Survey
