We want to share a couple of SF424 updates.
Huron has implemented code changes needed to extract the attachment metadata from attachments to send to the eRA system for validation. This code change will be released in SF424 10.10.0 and will provide the necessary data needed to the eRA validation service to clear the SciENcv validations. Huron is working on finalizing the patches and then regression and release testing will begin on Monday, 2/16/2026. Our target release date for the SF424 10.10.0 release is 3/10/2026.
Some users have encountered a 403-error coming from the eRA validation and image service. This occurred when "RM", "Exec", or "MV" were entered in any of the text fields in the SF424 (R & R) Cover Page as it appeared that these characters were being read as commands. Huron opened a ticket with the eRA help desk regarding this issue and they responded today that this issue has been resolved in production and that they are working on applying the fix in their lower-level environments. If you have run into this problem in production, it should be resolved.
No action is needed from users at this time. We will provide updates via myUABResearch website as the data import progresses.
