Meet our Fall 2023 Expo Keynote Speaker: Dr. Mary Ann Bodine Al-Sharif
Meet Dr. Mary Ann Bodine Al-Sharif (Dr. BAS, for short), an assistant professor and program coordinator of the UAB School of Education's Higher Education Administration program! Dr. BAS has been working in higher education for over 11 years as a faculty member and as a student affairs and services administrator. She has been a catalyst in her field and has been recognized globally for her work and research.
Her research focuses on current global movements in educational reform, international higher education, student development, and social justice and advocacy issues within higher education. Recently, Dr. BAS was selected for the 2023-2024 UAB Faculty Fellows in the Service-Learning program, which is designed to accelerate the work of faculty members eager to develop exemplary curricular approaches to education.

Meet our Fall 2022 Expo Keynote Speaker: Keyana Boglin
Keyana Boglin is the UAB AmeriCorps VISTA Statewide Program Supervisor. As a supervisor, she manages the grant associated with the AmeriCorps VISTA program. She also assists with the placement of VISTAs and their host sites. Keyana has served with AmeriCorps as a VISTA Leader and FEMA Corps member. She is inspired by the impact that the UAB VISTA program is having on communities and is looking forward to seeing the program grow.

Michael Ho
Michael Ho is a 2022 alumnus of UAB's Honors College in the Global and Community Leadership program as well as the College of Arts and Sciences with degrees in World Languages and Literatures (French) and Neuroscience. After completing the NIH-funded PROmoTE research program in the UAB Division of Nephrology and Department of Urology this summer, he will be attending the UAB Heersink School of Medicine in the Fall!
