Highlighted Community Partners

Global Goals

The Global Goals are a set of goals established in 2015 to hold world leaders accountable in ending world poverty, inequality, and climate change by 2030. The work our community partners do impacts the local Birmingham community and the global community, of which we are both a part. The Office of Service Learning and Undergraduate Research works alongside our community partners, students, and faculty and staff at UAB for a brighter and much more sustainable future.

How to Volunteer

If you have any interest in volunteering with one these partners, please contact the organization directly. There is no guarantee that a Highlighted Community Partner will be able to accommodate you as a volunteer. It is important to communicate with the contact person at the organization to find an opportunity that works for both you and the partner. Be sure to discuss why you would like to volunteer, the name of the course and instructor (if applicable), the specific tasks you would like to perform as a volunteer, and the dates and times you are available (including the start and end date). This is not a comprehensive list; for additional community partners please visit The Benevolent Fund's website.
