CurriculumIcon2The biotechnology program provides a more direct route to a career in the industry by focusing on mastering current techniques used in biotechnology coupled with the business fundamentals necessary for successful product development.  This degree offers a viable alternate path for graduates of science programs into practical and lucrative job tracks rather than into programs that take much longer to complete and are often too narrowly focused in specific disciplines. Please check the Graduate Catalog for the current curriculum.

Clinical IconThe Biotechnology Program at UAB provides both scientific and business internships for students in good standing.  The goal of the internship is to provide students with experience needed to further their career in a specific industry sector or to determine if an industry sector is one in which the student would like to pursue a career.  It is encouraged that the student intern takes advantage of both a scientific and business focused internship so they may see both sides of the biotechnology industry.
