The MSPH with a concentration in Applied Epidemiology is offered by the Department of Epidemiology.

The MSPH with a concentration in Applied Epidemiology is an academic degree designed for students who wish to receive education and training emphasizing epidemiologic research methods. In addition, students who wish to enter doctoral-level training should consider majoring in epidemiology at the master's level. This program emphasizes training in biostatistical concepts and their application in epidemiologic research.

Curriculum

In contrast to the epidemiology focus of the MPH, the MSPH with a concentration in Applied Epidemiology requires the completion of didactic course work and a publishable research paper.  There is no internship requirement. This degree can be completed in as little as four semesters or 16 months of full-time course work.
