black history program

Commemorate the legacy and meaning of Black History Month with the Black Student Awareness Committee, Veteran Services, and Off-Campus Student and Family Engagement! Attendees will learn about the origins of Black History Month, celebrate the legacy and history of Black Americans, and more on February 24 from 12-1 p.m. in the Hill Student Center Ballrooms C & D

Opening remarks will be made by Walter Stewart, Director of Veteran Services, followed by a performance of, ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ by the UAB Student & Staff ensemble. Hear student testimonials, poetry, and view a slideshow of upcoming events and programs. Refreshments will be available following the event.
