Join UAB Student Affairs for Stress Less Week from April 17-21. All week UAB will be hosting a series of stress-relieving events to help you push through the semester’s end. 

Monday, April 17

Starting Monday, April 17, bring a big appetite for the inaugural crawfish boil at Hill Student Center Amphitheater & Lot 5A. The boil will be free for all students with a valid One card from 10 a.m. to  2 p.m. 

After grabbing some crawfish, students can visit a number of stations at “DIY Day" during that same time frame at the Hill Student Center Amphitheater. Craft study buddies, decorate cookies, pick up some swag, and more.

Rounding out Monday, you can explore the Solar House  with UAB URec and Sustainability from 6 to 7 p.m. and find a moment of zen through yoga! 

 


Tuesday, April 18

 On Tuesday, April 18, head over to the Blazer RLC for the “Halfway There Bash” hosted by Second Year Experience from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Celebrate the fact that second-year students are halfway to graduation with free food, music, finals resources, and more.


Wednesday, April 19

You bring the stress, we’ll bring the sledgehammer. UAB National Alumni Society will be on Campus Green Wednesday, April 19 from 12 to 3 p.m for the “Blazer Bash Car Smash.” 

Center yourself later on with UAB URec at their student-favorite event “Yoga on The Green” from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. No mat needed, just rest and relaxation. 

Channel your favorite pop star, rapper, or rock star at “Karoke Night.” The event takes place at the HSC Amphitheater starting at 5:30 p.m. 




Thursday, April 20

First Year Experience and Insomnia Cookies are teaming up to help you dream your stress away with, “You’re a Smart Cookie.” Grab this sweet treat on the Campus Green on Thursday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Finish the day with the “Peer Wellness Showcase” on Campus Green from 2 to 3:25 p.m. Visit tables and learn tips for having a healthy and safe summer break.
