The Student Organization Event Policy, managed through the Division of Student Affairs, describes the requirements for events hosted by students in registered student organizations.  On-campus student events must be registered with the University through the event registration process on Engage.  The event registration process assists in the planning of safe and successful events and activities and facilitates adherence to UAB’s policies and procedures as well as state and local laws and regulations.  Departments in Student Affairs and student-led organizations (including registered student organizations, fraternities and sororities, and academic organizations) require both in-person and virtual events to be registered on Engage.
