Supporting Students

ab3ff6def7d4bd9b682437cccc7cf82e9f7a0744 Student Counseling Services at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is inviting all Blazers to its “Cookies with a Counselor” event, offering a casual opportunity to learn about available counseling resources while enjoying cookies.

The free event is scheduled for multiple sessions in January 2026, taking place Jan. 12–15 from 4–5 p.m. each day in Camp Hall, Room 105 on the UAB campus. The drop-in event provides students a chance to connect informally with counseling staff, learn about the Counselor-in-Residence (CIR) program and other support resources, and ask questions in a relaxed setting.

Student Counseling Services offers a range of mental health support, including individual and group counseling, outreach programs, workshops, and access to the CIR program and digital self-help tools to support students’ wellbeing and academic success.
