Into the Streets

Into the Streets is a bi-annual program sponsored by the Leadership and Service Council designed to connect UAB students to the Birmingham community through a day of service. Each fall and spring semester, UAB students come together to help the university accomplish its mission of encouraging partnerships that improve education, health, economic prosperity and quality of life.

Student Participation

Student organizations interested in participating will have access to a registration form, available through Bsync, starting October 1, 2017. The registration form allows student organizations to designate their preferred service site.

Registration is not required

Community placement will be first-come, first-served for unregistered student organizations and all individual participants. All UAB students, faculty and staff are invited to participate. Volunteers are expected to stay for the duration of the assigned shift. All volunteers must bring their UAB OneCard for check-in.
