Commencement represents the culmination of the academic experience at The University of Alabama at Birmingham. This site provides all prospective graduates with the information they need to apply for their degrees, purchase regalia, prepare for Commencement ceremonies, and provide their family and friends with necessary details. You'll also find historical details and images of UAB Commencement exercises.The Fall Commencement ceremony will take place on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at 2:00 pm.
Spring Commencement ceremonies will take place on at 9:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in the Bartow Arena (617 13th Street S.) College of Arts and Sciences and School of Education graduates will commence at 9:30 a.m. All other graduate will attend the 2 p.m. ceremony.
Doors open at 8:30 a.m. for the 9:30 a.m. ceremony and at 1 p.m. for the 2 p.m. ceremony.
Events will begin on time. University officials recommend guests arrive early and leave non-essential bags at home or in the car; mandatory checks of all bags entering Bartow Arena could slow entry.
