Professor Grimes Returns from Afghanistan |
The Department is pleased to announce that Pre-Law Program Director and Assistant Professor (COL) John Grimes recently returned to the UAB campus following a 15 month deployment to Afghanistan where he served in the role of Senior Intelligence Officer, National Ground Intelligence Center (NGIC), from October 2010 through January 2012. During this period, Grimes led a team of more than 180 NGIC all-source intelligence analysts geographically dispersed throughout the Afghanistan Theater of Operations.
Following this recent military intelligence experience in a forward deployed environment, COL Grimes has been invited to participate in the US Army War College's Annual Strategic Controller Exercise in Carlisle Barrack, Pennsylvania February 23 - March 9, 2012. The US Army War College represents the final educational requirement for promotion to the rank of General Officer in the US Army.
