At the UAB Center for Palliative and Supportive Care, our vision is to continue to transform care for patients and families with serious illness.
Through compassionate clinical care, innovative training programs and robust research focused on developing the best systems of care for patients and caregivers, our goal is to lead the nation in caring for those with serious illness.
There are a number of ways to support the work of the Center. Philanthropic investment, volunteering and community advocacy are all ways to help support palliative and supportive care in our community.
Gifts from the community ensure that the Center can continue to excel in compassionate clinical care, innovative education and training programs and robust research activities.
As a volunteer at the Center for Palliative and Supportive Care, you are an integral part of this mission by providing comfort and companionship that only a volunteer can provide. Pictured below are four of our volunteers, celebrating the tenth anniversary of the PCCU with staff members.
The Center's Community Advisory Board provides a vital voice for palliative and supportive care in the community. The board assists the Center with strategic planning, community outreach and fundraising activities. Pictured below are some of the past and present Board members.
