UAB Service Learning and Undergraduate Fall Research Expo is Nov. 29-30

Research expos are held every semester to showcase the scholarly research work of undergraduate students across disciplines that include basic sciences, social sciences, engineering, health and medicine.

EXPOThe University of Alabama at Birmingham will be holding its Fall Service Learning and Undergraduate Research Expo from Tuesday, Nov. 29, through Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. at the National Alumni House.

The expo, held every semester, showcases the profound research done by UAB students while celebrating excellence in research, creative activity, scholarship and academic endeavors of undergraduate students.

Participation in the expo strengthens students’ presentation skills and is an opportunity to engage and exchange research experiences and ideas. Participants receive feedback from both peers and faculty.

Expo dates and events include:

  • 11: Registration closes, and abstracts are due.
  • 28: Deadline to upload all research presentations; online judging will begin.
  • 29: Oral presentations from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • 30: Keynote address at 9 a.m., followed by poster presentations.

The fall 2022 expo will be held in person at UAB’s National Alumni Society House, as well as with a virtual component. Registration is required for virtual attendance.
