UAB Discussion Book Dialogue series on autism continues April 19

An artist will offer her perspective on autism issues as part of the UAB book dialogues.

Erin Hardin, M.Ed., teaching artist at VSA Alabama, will present a lecture, “A Different Point of View: Exploring Autism through the Arts,” as part of UAB’s Discussion Book Dialogues for the 2011-12 selection, "Thinking in Pictures: My Life with Autism,” by Temple Grandin.

grandinbookThe lecture, which is free and open to the public, will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 19, 2012, in Heritage Hall Room 549, 1401 University Blvd.

The goal of the dialogues is to provide information to help people make more informed decisions about relevant issues. Snacks are provided.
