UAB student wins Alpha Lambda Delta Fellowship

UAB senior Krishna Bhatt has won the Katherine Cooper Cater Fellowship worth $3,000 from Alpha Lambda Delta.

UAB senior Krishna Bhatt has won the Katherine Cooper Cater Fellowship worth $3,000 from Alpha Lambda Delta.

krishna_bhatt-03_siteAlpha Lambda Delta is an honor society for students who have achieved a 3.5 G.P.A. or higher and are in the top 20 percent of their class during their first year or term of higher education.

Bhatt, 21, is a dual international studies and psychology major in the UAB College of Arts and Sciences and a member of the University Honors Program. Bhatt’s G.P.A. is 3.75. Her future plans include law school.

Bhatt, originally from Hoover, is the daughter of Premal and Parul Bhatt of Washington, D.C.

“I was so surprised when I found out I won this award,” Bhatt says. “I am honored and ever so grateful that ALD has allowed me to have this wonderful opportunity."
