New graduate certifications offered through the UAB School of Education

Students can advance their knowledge in their desired field through four new graduate certificates in health coaching, teaching multilingual learners, clinical mental health counseling and supporting individuals with exceptionalities.

GraduateCertificate2Students can advance their knowledge in their desired field through four new graduate certificates in health coaching, teaching multilingual learners, clinical mental health counseling and supporting individuals with exceptionalities.Students can advance their knowledge and understanding in their desired field through the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s newest graduate certificates.

The UAB School of Education now offers certificates in Health Coaching, Teaching Multilingual Learners, Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Supporting Individuals with Exceptionalities.

The Health Coaching Certificate is an online graduate certificate that prepares individuals to design, conduct and evaluate clinical and non-clinical health behavior change. The Teaching Multilingual Learners Certificate prepares preschool through 12th-grade educators to effectively serve multilingual learners and their families. The Clinical Mental Health Certificate is designed to increase the range and depth of services offered by marriage, couples, family and school counselors in 15 credit hours. The Supporting Individuals with Exceptionalities Certificate will prepare current and future teachers to meet the diverse needs of individuals with exceptionalities, including individuals with autism spectrum disorder, emotional disturbance, intellectual disabilities, learning disabilities and speech/language impairments.
