UAB named as an education partner for Amazon’s Career Choice program

UAB has been selected by Amazon as an education partner for their Career Choice program, allowing eligible Amazon associates to receive tuition assistance while pursuing a bachelor’s degree at UAB.

Amazon StreamUAB has been selected by Amazon as an education partner for their Career Choice program, allowing eligible Amazon associates to receive tuition assistance while pursuing a bachelor’s degree at UAB.The University of Alabama at Birmingham has been selected by Amazon as an education partner for their Career Choice program, allowing eligible Amazon associates to receive full tuition assistance while pursuing a bachelor’s degree or certificate at UAB.

Through UAB’s membership in the Amazon Career Choice Partner Network, eligible Amazon associates can pursue one of the university’s 55 bachelor’s degrees and 86 minors — with both on-campus and online options available.

“UAB is proud to be a premier member of the Amazon Career Choice Partner Network and to be a key component of Amazon’s investing in their workforce through educational advancement,” said Bradley Barnes, Ph.D., vice provost of Enrollment Management at UAB. “The Career Choice program aligns with UAB’s strategic plan and mission pillars, including education and community engagement, and we’re excited to begin enrolling eligible applicants as Blazers.”

Amazon’s Career Choice program is an education benefit that empowers employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere. The program meets individual learners where they are on their education journey through a variety of education and upskilling opportunities, including full college tuition, industry certifications designed to lead to in-demand jobs, and foundational skills such as English language proficiency, high school diplomas and GEDs.
