Khushboo Jhala, a third-year honors student in the UAB Early Medical School Acceptance Program, is coordinating the Colors of Life @ University national photo contest, an event for student or faculty photographers at universities, run in conjunction with the professional Colors of Life 2010 International Photo Contest.
Proceeds from both events benefit the Neurological Institute of Guatemala (www.juannio.org), a non-governmental, non-profit organization providing assistance to underprivileged children with special learning needs in Guatemala. Winners' photographs will be displayed in Richmond, Va., in early 2011. Colors of Life is a non-profit organization that uses art to support humanitarian issues.
