The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Leah McCraney Memorial Endowed Scholarship in Advanced Safety Engineering and Management in the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Engineering during its meeting April 12, 2013. McCraney was the inaugural program manager for the master of engineering graduate track in the School of Engineering.
