Brian Steele, Ph.D., associate professor in the Department of History, wrote an essay that is featured in the “Un-America” special issue of the Journal of American Studies. The issue examines un-Americanism and asks what it is and whether it is still a relevant term today.
Steele is an award-winning professor who has published several essays on Thomas Jefferson. He was a finalist for the 2013 George Washington Book Prize.
