The center will be housed in the School of Optometry.
The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Center for Structural Biology within the School of Optometry during its meeting June 15, 2012. The center will encourage and facilitate interdisciplinary research efforts in structural biology from units across UAB.
