Innovative mobile applications for HIV/STI programs are the topic of a panel discussion to be held by the University of Alabama at Birmingham Center for AIDS Research from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9, in the Edge of Chaos in Lister Hill Library.
The panel will be moderated by Associate Professor Janet Turan, Ph.D., co-director of CFAR’s Behavioral and Community Science Core. The CFAR Behavioral and Community Science Core supports research and academic community partnership aimed at understanding HIV/AIDS risk and protective factors in the Deep South.
Panelists include Ann Gakumo, Ph.D., assistant professor of nursing and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Nurse Faculty Scholar; Robin Lanzi, Ph.D., associate professor of health behavior; Bulent Turan, Ph.D., assistant professor of psychology; and Steve Dellinger, community health educator with the Alabama Department of Public Health.
