The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees appointed Cheri L. Canon, M.D., to the Witten-Stanley Endowed Chair of Radiology in the Department of Radiology in the UAB School of Medicine during its meeting April 8, 2011. Canon earned her medical degree with honors from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston and joined the UAB faculty in 1998.
