The University of Alabama System Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Kathleen G. Nelson, M.D., professor emerita of pediatrics during its meeting April 13, 2012.
Nelson joined the UAB faculty in 1976 and was senior associate dean for faculty development in the School of Medicine until her retirement in 2011.
