AADR Clark fellowship awarded to Abou-Arraj

Abou-Arraj’s fellowship will involve developing a novel technology of a targeted delivery of growth factors to dental implant and root surfaces.

ramzi abou arraj webThe American Association for Dental Research has announced Ramzi Abou-Arraj, DDS, as the recipient of the 2015 AADR William B. Clark Fellowship. He was recognized at the AADR 44th Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Boston, Massachusetts, earlier this year.

Abou-Arraj is an assistant professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry in the Department of Periodontology. His clinical and research interests include periodontal regeneration and soft tissue reconstruction. His fellowship involves developing a novel technology of a targeted delivery of growth factors to dental implant and root surfaces.

The AADR William B. Clark Fellowship was established in memory of William B. Clark, the late professor of oral biology and director of the Periodontal Research Center at the University of Florida. The award is supported by P&G Professional Oral Health and Crest Oral-B. The award recognizes investigators who carry out clinical research in periodontology.
