UAB’s Internal Communications and Media Relations groups work with UAB faculty and staff to develop and distribute university news and information in a variety of ways. It’s our job, and we’re happy to help.

The more notice we have about your needs, the better able we are to help promote your events and get your news to audiences that need to hear it. In the news business, timing is everything. If you wait until the last minute to contact us, we may not have time to meet media deadlines while an item is newsworthy. When in doubt, take the sooner-is-better approach. (For events, assume at least two weeks notice is needed.)

Send in the following information, and we’ll direct your request to the right people.

Deadlines for UAB’s faculty/staff newsletter, The eReporter, are Mondays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. for publication on Tuesdays/Fridays (except during designated holiday periods).

The UAB Reporter now is an all-digital offering. Look for more audio, video and photos to complement the timely news and feature stories and information included online at www.uab.edu/reporter – and in The eReporter distributed to employees and others who subscribe to it, including retirees. You also can keep up to date on UAB happenings on Facebook at www.facebook.com/uab.edu.
