UAB alumna honored as counselor who changes lives

Rebecca "Becki" Rutsky, college advisor at the Alabama School of Fine Arts in Birmingham, is one of eight college counselors worldwide selected as "Counselors That Change Lives." Rutsky, a 2004 UAB graduate who earned her master's of arts degree in counseling, was honored by Colleges That Change Lives, Inc., a non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to the advancement and support of a student-centered college-search process.

Rutsky and the other awardees were recognized at the National Association of College Admission Counseling annual conference in October in St. Louis, Mo. More information about the program and the text of the nominations are available at www.ctcl.org/about/counselors-that-change-lives.
