The 2014 American Heart Association’s Birmingham Heart Walk is scheduled for Saturday, June 28, and registration for the event is now available. Funds raised from this annual event support vital cardiovascular research at UAB.
The festivities begin at 7:30 a.m. in the Uptown Entertainment District, located at 2221 Richard Arrington Jr. Blvd. North. The walk begins at 8:30 a.m. and is followed by a post-walk celebration.
UAB Medicine’s team goal is to raise $10,000 for the event. Area organizations and residents are encouraged to get active for a good cause.
